Why ShimmeryBeauty?
People often ask me, “Why ShimmeryBeauty?”
It’s such a good question.
ShimmeryBeauty was founded in 2021. We started as a handmade lip gloss brand while also providing wholesale products for other beauty businesses. As the business grew, we expanded into other products and dreamed of building something much bigger.
Then life happened.
Like many entrepreneurs, I experienced seasons of stress, heartbreak, disappointment, and uncertainty. There came a point when I closed the doors to ShimmeryBeauty because emotionally, I wasn’t sure I had anything left to give.
But God wasn’t finished with my story.
I’m a wife, a mother of four beautiful daughters, and now I get the joy of watching one of my daughters begin creating her own beauty brand. Through every season, God kept reminding me of what He originally called me to do—to serve people.
Serving has always been my love language.
As I began researching beauty and self-care, I realized something surprising: we talk so much about skincare, but we rarely talk about caring for our lips. That’s where Lipgology™ was born.
Lipgology™ is more than lip care.
It’s about educating you on why your lips deserve care, helping you build healthy habits, and reminding you that even the smallest acts of self-care matter.
At the same time, God was doing something in me.
He was rebuilding me.
ShimmeryBeauty isn’t just a business I’m restarting—it’s a reflection of the work God has done in my own life. While there may be many beauty brands in the world, there is only one story like mine, and only one purpose that God has given me.
Our business is built on Colossians 3:23:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
That scripture reminds me daily that my success isn’t defined by my past failures, my sales, or my competition. My responsibility is simply to be faithful to what God has called me to do.
So whether you purchase a product or simply stop by our website, my prayer is that you leave encouraged.

Encouraged to start again.
Encouraged to believe that failure isn’t the end of your story.
